Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ctrl Alt Elite Software LLC ("TidyMinds," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a parent or legal guardian uses our service to request a personalized tidying plan for a child's space. We have designed TidyMinds to collect as little information as possible and to put the parent in control of it. By using TidyMinds you agree to this Policy.

1. Who this service is for

TidyMinds is intended only for parents and legal guardians who are 18 or older. The service is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or submit information to us directly, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All information about a child is provided to us by their parent or guardian, who decides what to share. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us at privacy@tidyminds.co and we will delete it.

2. Information we collect

We collect this information only because you provide it to obtain a plan. We do not buy personal information about you or your child from data brokers, and we do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use information

We do not sell or rent your information or your child's information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for behavioral advertising or to build marketing profiles. We do not use your child's information to make decisions other than producing the plan you requested.

4. Parental consent (COPPA)

Because TidyMinds involves information and photos relating to children, we take parental consent seriously and follow a parent-led model consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; we will then stop processing the information and delete it as described below (this will end our ability to provide or update your plan).

5. Photographs

Photos you upload are used solely to analyze the space and build your plan. They are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket on our storage provider (Supabase), encrypted in transit and at rest, and are not public. Access is scoped to your own account: photos can only be reached through your magic-link session, and our staff access them only as needed to build or support your plan. We delete uploaded photos within 30 days of delivering your plan (or sooner on request). The finished plan itself does not embed your original photos.

6. How we share information

We share information only with the service providers ("processors") that help us operate TidyMinds, under contract and only as needed to provide the service:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a business transfer — in which case this Policy will continue to govern the information. We do not otherwise share your information.

7. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting obligations:

8. Your choices and rights

As the parent or guardian, you may at any time review the information we hold about your child, correct it, delete it, or refuse to permit further use or collection. You can do this using your magic link or by contacting us at privacy@tidyminds.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or, if we serve your region, the EU/UK GDPR. We honor these rights and do not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, private storage buckets, and database row-level security so that each account can access only its own data through its own magic-link session. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.

10. International users

TidyMinds is operated from, and intended for users in, the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date, and for material changes affecting children's information we will take additional steps to notify parents where appropriate.
